Enjoying Cilacap (3)

hei2..now, I’ll tell you about city near Cilacap that you can also visit.. I’ve visited Purwokerto and Yogyakarta since I was staying here..Before that, I want to share about transportation to Cilacap. From Jakarta you can take the train from Gambir to Cilacap.Or getting a travel car..From Bandung you can also get a train or travel car. The travel car from Bandung cost Rp 90000.

Today, I’ll tell you how the journey from Cilacap to Yogyakarta.

"Efisiensi" bus

If you want go to Jogja from Cilacap, you can take Efisiensi bus from the Cilacap terminal

which is cost Rp 50000.. It’s pretty expensive but you’ll find a fisrt class bus on the road..It’s very comfortable with widely foot step and the nice seat..The time for the bus are from 2 am till 7 pm on every hour..For the 6 am till 4 pm, it cost Rp 40000. The trip takes 4 hour to get Jogja.. The bus will stop at the Gamping terminal near south Jogja ring road.

Candi Prambanan

From Gamping terminal you can go around Jogja with TransJogja..It is just cost Rp 3500 for once trip.. When I went to Jogja past weeks ago, I visited Candi Prambanan on purpose.. It’s a nice landscape outhere..very fascinating.. At there, you can also watch the film about Candi Prambanan history.To get in the Candi Prambanan complex, you’ll need Rp 10.ooo till Rp 15.000 (I forgot the exactly price..haha..)

Lumpia on Malioboro street

After visited the Prambanan, I went to Malioboro for shopping batik.he2..The batik I like here are the sleeping clothes with a soft material.It’s very comfortable to wear and just cost about Rp 15.000 – Rp 20.000 per pieces. In this street too, I find a delicious lumpia..The ingridient are chicken slices, bean sprouts, and carrot slices.This lumpia served with onion slices and “rawit” chili. The price is Rp 2000 per pieces.

Next, I went to Wijilan Street near “Keraton” residence..Every store on this street sells Gudeg, with its own different taste of course..On that street, I tried “Bu Lies” Gudeg and it’s cost Rp 10.000 – Rp 13.000 for the Gudeg.. After that, I went to Cilacap again and take the Efisiensi bus again..

what’s up everybody..hmm..I think I forgot to tell you where is the place to stay in Cilacap. Well, actually there are several good hotels in here such as Mutiara Hotel (on Gatot Subroto Street) and Wijaya Kusuma Hotel (on Ahmad Yani Street) Now, as I promise you yesterday, I am going to tell you about the best culinary in Cilacap (according to my taste).hahah..

1. Warung Nasi Ganda Sari

This place is located in front of Sangkalputung Market on Tidar Street.. Basicly, this is just like “warung nasi” as usual. But, if you try the food.. you’ll taste a nice sensation of the food..I don’t know how the owner cooks the food but I think she do it with love ( no kidding )..haha.I guess the owner really2 love to cook, you can see that on smile appear from her face..The owner is a mam, whose age around 50-60 years. You can visit this place for lunch or breakfast, which the food are still fresh.. My favourite food are kacang panjang (long bean), tahu tumis tauge ( tofu with bean sprout), ikan tenggiri kecap (mackarel with ketchup), and daun singkong masak santan.. very tasty and yummy.. hope you like it too.

2. Siomay Lomanis

You must try this siomay!! haha..the best! I found this place from my friend who lives in Cilacap.. If you see the  package, it is standard like siomay as usually. But after you bite the siomay, it taste really good and the peanut sauce make it even better.. The siomay is cheap also, just Rp 1000 per piece. The siomay is located in front of halte in Komperta Donan, which is the housing complex for Pertamina employee.. You can enjoy it from 3 pm till 8 pm..

3. Nasi Sop Putra Bandung

haha..I wondering how I can’t see this food in Bandung itself, so ironic.. hmm,, back to the food..The ingridient are rice and beef soup that contain cabbage, carrot, and beef slices.. The special of this food is the soup broth.. The broth have a rich tasting and a little bit thicky also.. I can enjoy this food for 15 minutes eating..haha. Eat slowly and taste the rich ingridient in the soup..very yummy. This food is located in front of Sangkalputung market and open at 6 pm till 10 pm… The price is Rp 10000 for one portion..

4. Pisang Goreng Keremes

This fried banana outlook a little bit same with ‘Pisang Goreng Kalimantan’ which is propular in Jakarta.. But i think this banana taste better than “Pisgor Kalimantan”. This fried banana more crunchy. the owner makes the special flour himself, so the taste is very original. Beside banana, there’s fried green bean too, which is called Gandasturi.. Both fried banana and green bean cost Rp 1000 per pieces.. This banana is sold at the ” warung ” on Katamso street.. Must try it !

5. Eating at Cia-Cia

As I told you before yesterday, there is food festival on weekend in Cilacap.. This festival is held on the street near alun-alun ( I forgot the name).. Almost 20 food store sell various food in here.. The best for me is ‘Tahu Gimbal’.. very rich ingridient an taste…haha.. It is contain cabbage, fried tofu, peanut, shrimp ‘bakwan’, rice cake, and special sauce that make it very special.. Beside that, you can also try many other foods such as ‘nasi liwet’, ‘bebek nusakambangan’, ‘nasi angkringan’, ‘tahu masak’, and seafood.

6. Nasi Goreng Bebek ( Duck Fried Rice )

This food is sold at ” Waroeng Klangenan” which is located on Gatot Subroto street.. The chef of this restourant had worked for some hotel, so the food taste pretty good. I like this food because its unique beside the taste is delicious too. This restaurant also sell another food such as Mie Nyemek, Sop Iga, and the others. But, the best is duck fried rice.. You can also try the duck satay which is delicious and unique too for me.. This restaurant open at afternoon till night..

Enjoying Cilacap (1)

Hi everbody.. now, I am staying in Cilacap for internship in Holcim cementary factory.. Since I’ve been here for one month I want to share about this city with you..

Hmm..Cilacap is located in south of Central Java and at border  between West and Central Java.  Cilacap basicly is a peacefully city, where the city is not so crowded..The people is nice to everybody and i feel that the ” Gotong Royong ” culture still sticky. I think this place is very suitable for you for holiday if you need relaxation and a pretty quiet place..Oh, this place also very save i guess..haha..here, you can put your helmet on the motorcycle if you get into store or market without affraid to lose it..this phenomena is very rarely happened in another part of Java island.

Surely, there are some tourism object in here such as Teluk Penyu beach, Benteng Pendem, Nusakambangan Island, and Fish Auctionary Place. Those place are near from each other and easily reached.

Teluk Penyu Beach

Teluk Penyu is a public beach so you don’t have to pay if you want to take a walk around beach.. Fishing is common activity at this beach. The beach is not too good but from here you can see many big ship are floating on the sea.. Also you can see the view of Nusakambangan Island.. The best time to see this place at sunrise or sunset..

Fish Auctionary Place sell many fresh fish such as tongkol, tuna, kakap, and many other fish..This place was built to provide fisherman economy, because from this place the fisherman can directly sells they fish without chain distribution which is take a long time and can make the fish unfresh. You can go to this place in the morning between 7 am till 9 am which is the comeback time for fisherman from sea..

Nusakambangan Island in the morning

Nusakambangan Island is well known for its jail.. Many famous political or corruptor has been into the jail in the island.. But beside the jail, Nusakambangan also have an interesting tourism object. It has the most beautiful beach in Cilacap which is Pasir Putih Beach.. Also, at the side of the island you will find a fisherman village called Kampung Laut whose home are floating on the sea.. After that, you also can enjoy many bat caves in the forest that also have many stalactits. For enjoying this island, you must have permit from Kebudayaan and Pariwisata Department of Cilacap.

Cilacap also have many culinary which is delicious and unique.. You can try many food at culinary festival which has been held every Saturday and Sunday night. This food festival called ” Cia Cia “.  You can try Tahu Gimbal, Tahu Masak, Bebek Nusakambangan, and other foods.
