Recently, Jakarta Old City or “Kota Tua Jakarta” is become the favorite place for tourists or young people to hang out in the weekend. There are several museums there and also the famous Cafe Batavia. Those are make me curious so I went there few weeks ago. It is quite easy to get there by using transjakarta bus. You can find the route in the link below.

Once arrived at the Kota halt, I saw an interesting museum in the opposite side, which is The Mandiri Bank Museum. Inside the museum, I could see many interesting things such as old calculator, unique weighing machine, old phone, and so many others. Some moments there, I thought how these things were used on the old days.

Although it was interesting to see around in the museum, but it was a little creepy there. I think the management should add several more lamps at some area. But, overall the condition is so represent the old moment and it is good to see.
After went there, I entered the Fatahilah Museum complex. It was very crowded there with pedestrian and the peddlers. The interesting one is the peddlers there offer unique things, such as tattoo and fortune prediction. Anyway, in that area I entered the Wayang museum which has many collection of Indonesian puppets and several foreign puppets. And I found the scariest one there =D. After it, I got home because the Fatahilah museum had already closed. But it was still very crowded in the afternoon with many ‘ontel’ bicycle rents. It was quite interesting journey for me and I think for you that like history it will be nice too. So don’t forget to go there when you stay in Jakarta.
