The day has come. After waiting so many years, finally Simon Santoso won the home tournament, Indonesia Open Super Series Premier. In the final, he beat Du Pengyu with three games. He actually reached the final in 2008 but lost to Sony Dwi Kuncoro. By winning this title, Simon prove that he is the current best Indonesia’s men single player. He is facing the London 2012 Olympic Games now. Hopefully by winning this title, he will get good seeding and also good drawing. He is reaching 27 years old this July and this is the time to gain big title in his career such as Olympic Games, Asian Games, All England, and World Championship. Go Simon !!

Recently, Jakarta Old City or “Kota Tua Jakarta” is become the favorite place for tourists or young people to hang out in the weekend. There are several museums there and also the famous Cafe Batavia. Those are  make me curious so I went there few weeks ago. It is quite easy to get there by using transjakarta bus. You can find the route in the link below.

Once arrived at the Kota halt, I saw an interesting museum in the opposite side, which is The Mandiri Bank Museum. Inside the museum, I could see many interesting things such as  old calculator, unique weighing machine, old phone, and so many others.  Some moments there, I thought how these things were used on the old days.

Although it was interesting to see around in the museum, but it was a little creepy there. I think the management should add several more lamps at some area. But, overall the condition is so represent the old moment and it is good to see.

After went there, I entered the Fatahilah Museum complex. It was very crowded there with pedestrian and the peddlers. The interesting one is the peddlers there offer unique things, such as tattoo and fortune prediction. Anyway, in that area I entered the   Wayang museum which has many collection of Indonesian puppets and several foreign puppets. And I found the scariest one there =D. After it, I got home because the Fatahilah museum had already closed. But it was still very crowded in the afternoon with many ‘ontel’ bicycle rents. It was quite interesting journey for me and I think for you that like history it will be nice too. So don’t forget to go there when you stay in Jakarta.

This is the biggest badminton tournament in Vietnam, which is held from 23 to 29 August. Today,  it enters the 3rd day and there are some interesting match here, which the most is Sony vs Sho Sasaki.

This tournament will be a stepping stone for Sony to get his best performance back. The injury has made his rank drop to 117 now.  Hopefully he can win this tournament to get his confidence again and compete for spot in London  Olympiad next year. Other players that I hope to get best result are Nitya/Anneke and Ryan/Angga. These young potential players must show their capability and win this tournament. Hopefuly =D

So, enjoy this tournament and you can watch live at these streams :
